Jacob Ballas Finally

The gang went without me!!!

Anyway, we were free today and at a loss of where to go. Since we were in town, hey, why not?

So away we go...

We did the same stuffs as the rest.

Visited the waterfalls at the cave...

Crossed the shaky bridge...

Crossed the log...

and visited the little house...

Sit on the little hilltop...

But these aren't the highlights of her day. She was just waiting and waiting...

FOR THIS MOMENT!

She went crazy at the water fountain. It was the first thing she saw when she walked into the garden. I kept telling her we'll come back to it later. So she dutifully finished her rounds and we rushed into the fountain. I stripped her off and set her free!

She was shrieking so happily at the fountains. We spend like half an hour at the other places and more than an hour at just the water fountain.

We'll be back!

Picnic at Upper Pierce Reservoir

We had a picnic planned with the babies, Megan, Talia and Philson!

When we arrived (by the way, we were last as usual... sigh), Talia and Philson were already enjoying their egg and chicken sandwich. There was soooooo much food there. Hmm... let's see; bee hoon and fruit salad (by Jaime n family), ham, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, bread n chips (by Dee n family), tuna, strawberries and grapes by me.

Anyway, we reach at 10 and left about 1pm for prata... (kekeke... imagine we could still stuff pratas in after all those food we ate).

We only had a few miserable pictures taken coz we forgot the CAMERA!

See see... this Talia was so super duper sweet. She'll play for a while and come running into my arms.

Meanwhile, my girl spend the whole morning running around. She couldn't even sit for 5 secs. No food could entice her. Talia was sitting down enjoying her sandwich and the strawberries. Philson erm being Philson, was hard to drag away from all those food.
Hmmm... they don't look very happy huh?
Oh oh... I must mention this, after playing for some time, Talia got tired and lie down on the ground sheet. She just fell asleep like that and stay asleep for more than an hour!!! I'm sooooo jealous!

Oh what a MESS!!!

This self feeding thingy is not for the weak hearted. Supposedly to be good for them but it gives me high blood pressure.

Oh, I've tried this several times, but usually with drier food or cleaner stuffs (erm... like water?). Otherwise, it's usually done when I'm sitted next to her, so I could wipe it off before any big damage is done. Still messy, but managable.

Well, I was busy yesterday. Had to give her something to do to keep her safe but busy. I threw caution to the wind and poured a bowl of Heinz's banana porridge (which she usually hates!), gave her a spoon and turned my back on her.
And this.......this...... this was what greeted me when I was done cooking her porridge.

It took every ounce of energy to hold back my scream. Instead, I gave her what I hoped was an encouraging smile and said: "Good job baby! Do you want more of that?" Arghhhhh..... She did want somemore! She hates cereal and I've tried it twice on her previously, but apparantly, a bowl and a spoon does the trick more than any of my coaxing.

Oh oh... but I'm so proud of her when I noticed that she actually tilts the bowl so that it's easier to scoop up the remains (Beaming with pride). Must be the good genes inherited from her mother's side (blink blink).

And voila! You have to be there to appreciate the mess. The pictures don't do enough justice... *sigh*. And while she enjoys self feeding, she didn't quite like the mess after the food was all gone. It was then she started to squirm and fuss about all that sticky yucky stuff all over her.

Had to bathe and change her before she's happy again... tsk tsk tsk!
