Photo shoot!!!

Ah... it's a tiring day out. It's hard to imagine standing there and smiling at the camera could be so tiring.

We went for a photo shoot today and boy!... you can't imagine the number of barang barangs we had brought along. I don't think we even made such a big deal out of our wedding shoots.

Anyway, it's not easier making wardrobe changes for a 9 month old...*shudders*... She got cranky with each change and we had our wardrobe malfunctions as well. However, pictures turned out great with much thanks to David Lim from Foto-U. He was so great with Megan and so patient with all of us.

Here's a preview... n nope... I'm not putting up her naked pics... but those are gorgeous! I think this is the only time you look absolutely beautiful despite of that big tummy and cellulite!

Goodnight, sweet dreams

I seldom write long posts. Mainly because I'm lazy (what else?). But I couldn't resist writing down this week's nightime routine with my ger. Everytime I think about it, I get all warm and fuzzy inside and I just have to share it.

We do have our share of her cranky nites. But generally, we are luckier than most of the mummies out there. She has been sleeping through since her 2nd month and is seldom fussy in the middle of the night. If she does wakes up, it's not difficult to put her back to bed again.

But she got super cranky a couple of weeks ago, I blamed it on teething (Dunno wat else to push it to??!!!)

However, this week, she's back to normal and something new! Every night, after her bath and milk, me and hubby will put our darling on her cot, kiss her goodnight, say our "I Love Yousssssss". Then hubby will go out of the room to wash and sterilize the bottles (Muark muark for doing all the housework without complaints)

I will then hide in a corner and wait for her to fall asleep (which used to work up till last week). The minute my hubby closes the door, she scramble to her knees and try to pull herself up (which is not easy, since she's in a grobag). She'll scan the room, and when she spots me hiding pathetically in a corner... she'll give a gentle "eh... eh..."

I used to stubbornly remain in hiding until the gentle "eh" escalates to a loud wail then walk over. But just this week, I decided to try responding at her first "eh". The minute I responded fast enough, I'm rewarded with the sweetest angelic smile in the whole wide world....awwwwwwwwwwww.... In the dark room, with the soft glowing night light in the background and that sweet little face smiling at me. It just makes me all warm and fuzzy. Once i reach her, she'll extend out 1 hand to me and I'll grasp that gently in my hand and guide her down, give her another kiss and be rewarded with another smile and a sleepy eye rub down.

She'll repeat all that for at least another 3 to 4 times before she's willing to settle down. It's more tiring compared to the past, when I'll just leave her there but oh so rewarding.

Ah ah ah ah ah

Hmmm... my ger does loads of wierd funny stuffs. Try teaching her something proper, she doesn't pick up at all.

But stuffs like this... she picks up super fast...
