Sentosa

We were thinking of what to do for my Mom, Dad and Sheryl's birthday celebration this year. Should we go for dinner at a restaurant as usual? Then my brother suggested a picnic. Why not? Sounds more fun than sitting down at a restaurant.

And so... off we go on a sunny morning to Sentosa.

"It was a teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini....." Technically, it wasn't a yellow polka dot.. hee hee... but I lurve my ger in a bikini. No adult can carry off that bikini with those fats and still look as adorable!

But see, the problem was.... she was dressed for the beach but not ready to be introduced to the sand! The whole trip there, she refused to get down on the sand. She wanted to be near the shore, where all her jie jies and kor kor was playing BUT to be carried at all times. I tried to forcibly dump her on the sand which only made matter worse.

From then on, no speck of sand was to touch her. And we were on the BEACH! There was sand everywhere. In order to convince her to sit on the mat, I had to take out her towel, show her there was no sand on it, placed it on the mat before she would even sit. That Da Xiao Jie!

As a peace offering for dumping her on the sand earlier, I gave her the pigeon packet drink which she loves. I don't think she's sucking very well from it though cos the drink was almost intact when she's done with it. But she loves biting on the straw. Oh well...

Oh yes... the sunblock. Clever girl. Layer it on n on to protect yourself!

Chips? Sorry baby, those aren't for you!

Picture with Dad? Ok, quick one please.

I tried and tried so many times but she refused to do it initially coz there were bits of sand on the floor. Arghhhh...., I dump her down again and she just kept standing there like a flamingo!

Well, if at first you don't succeed, you try and try again! I finally wore her down!

Ah! All cleaned up again. About time to go. We've been at the beach from 9am to 2pm. And that ger refused to nap at all.

Looking at the world with tinted glasses? Hmm... nay, she loves her Dad's sunglasses but refuse to put on those baby sunglass i bought.

Ok, a souvenir to bring home for her first trip to Sentosa. We didn't really get that willingly. She grab on to it and refuse to part with it. Didn't even let go of it to let the cashier key it in. We had to struggle to cut the tag off. After parting with the money, she came out to the mat and threw it on the ground. Yah yah, I know... we're sucker parents!
